Sven and Gabriel Ringdahl are a father and son team and together they run a farm for slaughter pig production, cropping and forestry at Värmlandsnäs outside of Säffle. After Gabriel studied agronomy at Alnarp in Skåne he visited Australia to work within farming on two occasions. During one of these trips, Sven went to Australia to visit his son and it was when they were driving around, looking at Australian farming, that the idea for the Fältlager emerged.
Sven is the third generation running the family farm which he now has developed and driven during 29 years. Before Sven took over the farm he worked for SIDA two years in Africa where he helped developing their farming. Besides this he has worked a year with farming in Canada and studied agronomy at Alnarp.
Gabriel has been working at different farms and farm machinery contractors in Sweden. Through only getting seasonal employments he has made it possible to see and learn from many different companies and places. Besides this he has been working for longer periods in Australia and he has also studied agronomy at Alnarp.
